How We Serve Clients in Avondale Estates

Post-surgical pain treatment addresses pain that continues after an operation connected to a motor vehicle collision. Patients may report neck or back pain, headaches, sciatica, radiculopathy, soft tissue pain, or symptoms near the surgical area.

The key decision is whether symptoms need medication review, therapy support, incision discussion, or targeted interventional care. We assess the complaint and its medical history before explaining which option fits the current problem.

This page serves patients who need focused care after surgery, not general primary care or workers’ compensation care. Premier Injury Specialists coordinates evaluation, treatment, and medical documentation through clinics in Stockbridge and Buckhead, with appointments Monday through Friday.

  • Bring available surgical records and information about current symptoms.
  • Explain changes in pain, numbness, weakness, or movement.
  • Ask which treatment options fit the current diagnosis.
  • Confirm how medical documentation will support ongoing injury care.

Questions about post-surgical pain care

Prior to the appointment, what does post-surgical pain treatment involve during the initial assessment?

Pain assessment starts the process by reviewing symptoms, surgery history, and injury-related findings. Premier Injury Specialists may then discuss medication management, physical therapy guidance, incision care concerns, or targeted procedures. Options include epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, and nerve blocks when appropriate. The plan is explained before treatment, and medical documentation records the care.

How do I know whether an injection fits my symptoms?

An injection fits only when the clinical findings support its purpose. We review the pain pattern, affected body area, surgical history, and available records before discussing options. Epidural injections address some spinal nerve symptoms, while facet or joint injections target other pain sources. You’ll receive an explanation of the procedure and other choices.

Which records should I bring to the first visit for Post-Surgical Pain Treatment?

Surgical records, imaging reports, medication lists, and prior treatment notes help us understand your current condition. Bring any documents you have from the accident and surgery. We’ll review the information with your symptoms and explain what additional records or assessment steps may be useful for treatment planning.

Can medication management be part of this care?

Medication management may be part of care when it fits the diagnosis and current treatment needs. We review what you take, how it affects your symptoms, and any concerns about use. The plan may also include therapy guidance or an interventional option. Patients should report side effects or worsening symptoms promptly.

When should incision pain be discussed during an appointment?

Incision pain should be discussed when it is new, worsening, tender, or linked with other changes. We ask about the site and related symptoms during the evaluation. Some concerns may need coordination with the surgical team, while others may fit focused pain care. Urgent symptoms require prompt medical attention.

What decides the cost of an injection or evaluation?

The treatment choice, medical records, clinical assessment, and procedure needs decide the cost. We explain upfront pricing information during the consultation before care is selected. Eligible patients may also discuss MedPay or attorney lien arrangements. The exact financial plan depends on the care that fits the documented condition.
