Why does spinal pain keep happening after an auto accident?

Facet joint irritation can keep sending pain signals after an accident, especially when movement loads the affected area. An evaluation helps connect the pain pattern with the right treatment plan. Premier Injury Specialists also checks related conditions, such as herniated discs, sciatica, radiculopathy, and soft tissue injuries, because injection care must match the actual injury.

Working With Our Team in Avondale Estates

This service is for auto accident patients whose spinal pain may involve irritated facet joints. The decision centers on the pain pattern, the injury history, and findings from the medical evaluation.

Patients in Avondale Estates can receive care through our coordinated Metro Atlanta practice. The main question is whether targeted medication fits the source of pain, not whether an injection is right for every back or neck complaint.

Our physicians also consider nearby conditions, including whiplash, herniated discs, sciatica, headaches, and radiculopathy. A different diagnosis may call for another treatment path.

  • Describe where the spinal pain began and how the motor vehicle collision occurred.
  • Bring available medical records, imaging reports, and accident-related documents.
  • Ask how the proposed injection relates to the suspected pain source.
  • Discuss MedPay or attorney lien arrangements before the visit when those options apply.

What patients get from targeted injection care

A physician-LED fit check

Patients receive a medical review before treatment, so the plan relates to the injury and pain pattern. Facet joint injections are the wrong fit when another condition better explains the symptoms.

Focused accident injury care

Our practice treats motor vehicle collision injuries, including neck pain, back pain, whiplash, herniated discs, and radiculopathy. That focused scope keeps the evaluation tied to the crash-related concern.

Coordinated records and treatment

Patients receive treatment planning and thorough medical documentation through one practice. This helps keep the clinical record connected to the injury evaluation and follow-up care.

Process

Review the accident and pain pattern

We discuss the motor vehicle collision, pain location, movement limits, and related symptoms.

Our physician examines the injury history and available clinical records to assess whether the suspected spinal joint fits the symptoms.

3

Explain medication choices

We explain the role of steroid medication and local anesthetic in the proposed treatment.

4

Patients receive a physician-led plan that addresses treatment fit, documentation, and related injury care.

The staff were super friendly and efficient with my back injections. They made me feel safe and I made a great connection with the receptionist. I was actually surprised by the low level of pain. I’ve had back injections before that were very painful, but these injections felt like a little pinch. Would definitely Recommend this facility.

Questions about targeted spinal injections

How do facet joint injections treat spinal pain?

Facet joint injections place medication near painful spinal joints to reduce pain signals and inflammation. Steroid medication may help control inflammation, while local anesthetic can help assess the suspected pain source. Premier Injury Specialists reviews the accident history, symptoms, and medical records before recommending this treatment for an auto accident injury.

What makes someone a good fit for this treatment?

A suitable patient has spinal pain that matches findings from the medical evaluation. The physician considers the pain pattern, movement limits, accident history, and related conditions before recommending an injection. Herniated discs, sciatica, or radiculopathy may point toward another treatment path, so the diagnosis matters before medication is selected.

For Facet Joint Injections, which records should I bring to the first visit?

Medical records, imaging reports, and accident-related documents help the physician understand the injury. Bring any reports from earlier evaluations, along with a list of current medicines and past treatments. Patients can also discuss MedPay or attorney lien arrangements during the visit if those options apply to their care.

When should I ask about an injection after a crash for Facet Joint Injections?

Ask about targeted injection care when spinal pain continues, limits movement, or needs a clearer diagnosis after a motor vehicle collision. A medical evaluation should guide the decision. Same-day evaluations are often available, and the physician can explain whether this treatment or another procedure better fits the injury.

Why might a medial branch block be discussed for Facet Joint Injections?

A medial branch block may be discussed when small nerves carrying pain signals from spinal joints need assessment. The procedure differs from an injection aimed at the joint itself. Our physician explains the reason for each option and links the recommendation to the patient’s symptoms, examination, and injury records.

How do I choose a pain management physician for accident care?

Choose a physician who explains the diagnosis, treatment options, records, and follow-up plan in plain language. Premier Injury Specialists focuses on motor vehicle collision injuries and includes board-certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Patients should also ask how the proposed procedure relates to the documented injury.

When scheduling Facet Joint Injections, what changes the cost of this treatment?

The treatment plan, medication choices, evaluation needs, and coverage arrangement influence the cost. Premier Injury Specialists offers Free Consultations, and eligible patients may use MedPay or attorney liens. Patients can request details about their own care plan before treatment, since no single cost applies to every injury.
