Facet joint injections for Forest Park accident injuries

Facet joint injections focus on pain linked to the small joints behind the spine. They may suit accident patients with neck or back pain when the clinical picture points toward joint inflammation.

This page serves a specific decision. You want to know whether injections fit your pain pattern, how relief could affect activity tolerance, and what repeat treatment might mean. We review those points with your injury history, exam findings, and existing records.

The treatment has limits. It won't address every cause of spinal pain, so another procedure may fit when symptoms point to a disc, nerve root, or different structure.

  • Review whether joint inflammation fits the accident-related pain pattern.
  • Discuss activity goals that matter during recovery.
  • Compare a facet joint injection with a medial branch block.
  • Plan follow-up around symptoms and treatment response.
  • Ask whether repeat treatment is clinically appropriate.

Service Overview

Facet joint injections are targeted treatments that place medication near spinal facet joints to address joint-related pain and inflammation.

  • A facet joint injection differs from a medial branch block because the injection targets the joint area, while the block tests or treats nearby nerve branches.
  • Premier Injury Specialists provides this care for auto accident patients in Forest Park through clinics in Stockbridge and Buckhead.

What this treatment may change for your daily movement

Medical records connect the procedure with the crash-related injury and ongoing symptoms.

How we approach the treatment decision

Match the injection to the pain source

Joint-focused treatment fits only when the assessment supports facet-related pain. A disc problem, nerve root issue, or other condition may call for a different procedure.

Use physician-LED treatment planning

Board-certified pain management physicians review the injury pattern and build a personalized plan around your symptoms, records, and activity goals.

Track relief and activity tolerance

Follow-up discussion covers how symptoms respond and what daily movement remains difficult. That information helps guide the next decision.

Process

How we plan and deliver facet joint injections

1

Review the accident and pain pattern

We discuss the collision, symptom location, movement limits, prior care, and records that relate to the suspected facet joints.

2

Assess whether the joints fit

A physician examines the injury pattern and considers whether joint inflammation supports a facet-focused treatment plan.

3

Explain the injection plan

We describe the procedure, possible benefits, treatment limits, and questions you should consider before moving forward.

4

Track response and activity

Follow-up care reviews symptom changes and activity tolerance so the next treatment decision reflects your response.

Choosing among joint-focused pain procedures

These procedures address different structures, so the exam and injury pattern guide the choice.

The staff were super friendly and efficient with my back injections. They made me feel safe and I made a great connection with the receptionist. I was actually surprised by the low level of pain. I’ve had back injections before that were very painful, but these injections felt like a little pinch. Would definitely Recommend this facility.

Questions about facet joint injection care

How long can pain relief last after facet joint injections?

Pain relief after facet joint injections has no fixed duration, so follow-up focuses on your response and daily activity. Relief may change as joint inflammation and the underlying injury change. We review symptom patterns, movement limits, and prior treatment before discussing repeat care. Individual results vary, and the response does not guarantee that another injection will be appropriate.

What makes facet joint injections a good fit?

Facet joint injections fit when the assessment links your pain to inflammation near the facet joints. The physician reviews your accident history, symptoms, exam findings, and medical records. Disc pain, nerve root symptoms, or another injury pattern may point to a different treatment. We explain that distinction before setting a plan.

Which records should I bring to the first visit?

Accident records, imaging reports, medication details, and prior treatment notes help us assess the injury. Bring any documents you already have, including information about earlier injections or nerve blocks. Our team uses the available history to discuss treatment fit, documentation, and the next step without requiring a specific document list.

When might a medial branch block fit better?

A medial branch block may fit when the care plan needs to test or treat nerves serving the facet joints. The procedure differs from a direct joint injection because it targets nearby medial branch nerves. We compare the two options after reviewing your symptoms and exam findings. The choice depends on the suspected pain source.

Why could pain return after an injection?

Pain could return when joint inflammation, the original injury, or another pain source remains active. Activity limits and symptom changes also help explain what happened after treatment. We review the response instead of assuming repeat care is needed. Another procedure may be discussed when the findings point to a disc or nerve problem.

What changes the cost of this treatment for Facet Joint Injections?

The evaluation, records reviewed, procedure selected, and treatment plan change the cost of care. Upfront pricing explains the planned services before treatment begins. Eligible patients may use MedPay or an attorney lien, which can affect payment arrangements. We discuss those options during the consultation and do not promise coverage.

Who provides facet joint injections for accident injuries?

Premier Injury Specialists provides facet joint injections for auto accident injuries through a coordinated pain management practice. Board-certified physicians in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine lead treatment planning. A certified physician assistant also supports care. The practice focuses on crash-related injuries, not primary care, urgent care, or workers’ compensation care.
