Trigger Point Injection for Accident-Related Muscle Pain in Morrow

Trigger point injection focuses on painful muscle bands that remain tight after a motor vehicle collision. The treatment may fit patients with whiplash, neck pain, back pain, headaches, or soft tissue injuries.

A detailed evaluation still matters. Muscle pain may occur alongside a herniated disc, sciatica, or radiculopathy, so our team considers the full injury picture before recommending care.

The key decision is whether the pain behaves like a muscle trigger point or points to another structure. We explain the findings, discuss suitable options, and document the injury for coordinated care.

  • Identify the painful muscle area and the movement that brings on symptoms.
  • Review the motor vehicle collision history and related injury symptoms.
  • Separate muscle pain from symptoms linked to discs, joints, or spinal nerves.
  • Discuss aftercare, activity guidance, and possible follow-up needs.

Service Overview

Trigger point injection is a pain treatment that places medication into a tense, painful muscle area.

  • It targets muscle pain and tightness, while epidural steroid injections address pain linked to spinal nerves.
  • Premier Injury Specialists provides this care for auto accident patients in Morrow through clinics serving Metro Atlanta.

What You Get From Focused Muscle Pain Care

A clear treatment fit

We match the injection to a painful muscle pattern found during evaluation. This service is the wrong fit when symptoms point mainly to a spinal nerve, disc, or another condition requiring different care.

Physician-LED planning

Board-certified pain management physicians guide personalized treatment plans for accident-related pain. The plan considers your symptoms, examination findings, and movement limits.

Care linked to the crash

Our practice focuses exclusively on injuries caused by motor vehicle collisions. That focus helps keep treatment notes and medical documentation tied to the accident.

Questions About Muscle Pain Injections After a Crash

What should I expect after a trigger point injection?

Soreness relief may begin as the treated muscle relaxes, but individual results vary. Follow the activity guidance our team gives you and watch for changes in pain, strength, or sensation. We explain what is expected after treatment and when to request medical advice. Tell us if symptoms do not follow the plan discussed during your visit.

How does a physician decide whether this injection fits my pain?

The examination connects muscle tenderness and movement limits with your accident-related symptoms. We also look for signs of disc, joint, or nerve involvement. If the pain pattern does not match a trigger point, our team discusses another suitable treatment path. This decision keeps the plan focused on the source of your symptoms.

Which details should I confirm before agreeing to treatment?

Treatment details should include the target muscle area, the reason for the injection, expected aftercare, and warning signs. Ask how the plan fits your injury findings and what follow-up may involve. We explain these points before treatment so you can make an informed choice. Bring questions about activity, medication, and symptom changes.

When should I seek medical advice after the injection?

New weakness, spreading numbness, severe worsening pain, or other concerning changes require prompt medical advice. Mild soreness can occur after treatment, but our team explains the symptoms that need attention. Follow the instructions from your visit and report changes that do not match the expected plan.

Why might muscle pain continue after treatment?

Ongoing pain may reflect the original collision injury or another source outside the treated muscle. We reassess symptoms when pain persists, changes location, or limits movement. A follow-up review can help separate muscle tension from disc, joint, or nerve-related pain and guide the next treatment decision.

Can accident patients in Morrow use MedPay for this care?
