Herniated Disc Treatment for Radiating Pain in Morrow

A herniated disc can press on a nerve and cause pain that travels from the back into an arm or leg. Numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness can also affect daily movement after a collision.

This page focuses on the decision to seek targeted care for those symptoms. Our physicians review the injury pattern, discuss suitable procedures, and explain what the treatment plan is meant to address.

Patients can request care across Metro Atlanta, including Morrow and Stonecrest. The practice treats motor vehicle collision injuries only, so general primary care, urgent care, and workers’ compensation care fall outside this service.

  • Note where pain travels and whether numbness or tingling follows the same path.
  • Tell the physician about weakness, reduced grip, or changes in walking.
  • Bring available accident and medical records to support the injury evaluation.
  • Ask which procedure fits the affected nerve or joint area.

Questions About Herniated Disc Care After A Crash

What symptoms can a herniated disc cause after a car accident?

Radiating pain, numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness are common symptoms of a herniated disc after a collision. Symptoms may follow an arm or leg when a disc irritates a nearby nerve. Premier Injury Specialists checks these patterns during an injury evaluation and explains which treatment options may fit. New or worsening weakness deserves prompt medical attention.

How does the first evaluation work for a disc injury?

The first evaluation reviews your accident, symptoms, medical history, and daily limits. The physician examines the affected area and discusses the findings with you.

  • Describe where pain travels.
  • Report numbness, tingling, or weakness.
  • Bring available accident and medical records.

Our team then explains suitable treatment choices and documentation needs.

Which procedure may help nerve-related back or neck pain?

An epidural steroid injection may help manage selected nerve-related back or neck pain. The physician first reviews your symptoms and examination findings to assess whether the procedure fits. Facet joint injections and medial branch blocks address different pain patterns. Results vary, so the visit includes a discussion of expected benefits, risks, and follow-up.

Can I receive care without paying at the visit for Herniated Disc Treatment?

Eligible patients may receive care through MedPay or an attorney lien without an out-of-pocket payment at the visit. Coverage depends on the accident claim and the arrangement used for care. We discuss the available billing path during a free consultation. Ask what records or claim details are needed before treatment is planned.

When should weakness after an accident be checked?

New or worsening muscle weakness after an accident should be checked promptly. Weakness can affect grip, walking, lifting, or foot movement, and it may occur with numbness or tingling. Our physicians document these changes during the evaluation and explain the next step. Severe or rapidly changing symptoms need prompt medical attention.

Why might a physician recommend a medial branch block?

A medial branch block may help assess pain carried by nerves near the facet joints. The procedure differs from an epidural steroid injection, which targets medication near irritated spinal nerves. Our team explains the reason for each option before treatment. The recommendation depends on your pain pattern and examination findings.
